Megalink Acceptable Use Policy

Any use of the Megalink network and services (hereinafter “Megalink”) is subject to the following conditions:

  • Any user of Megalink has no expectation of privacy for any data that transits any service. The owners and operators of Megalink may monitor the data traffic of any medium for any purpose, including but not limited to:
    • Ensure all traffic that is subject to FCC Part 97 regulations follows those regulations
    • Ensure all IP traffic is consistent with the goals and objectives of Megalink and in compliance with this policy
    • Provide information to law enforcement upon appropriate request
  • The Wayne Technical Fanatics and its constituent members reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to terminate your access to Megalink or any portion thereof at any time, without notice.
  • Megalink does not publish or adhere to any service level agreement. Users of Megalink accept the capacity and resiliency of Megalink “as is” and has no claim to any promise of service or availability.
  • It is prohibited to use Megalink for any illegal or detrimental purpose as determined at the sole discretion of the Wayne Technical Fanatics and its constituent members including, but not limited to:
    • Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal and civil rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others
    • Publish, post, upload, distribute or disseminate any inappropriate, profane, defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent or unlawful topic, name, material or information
    • Conduct or forward surveys, contests, pyramid schemes or chain letters
    •  Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying Megalink
    • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • The IP-based network component of Megalink may not be used for any purpose not related to the support and furtherment of the Amateur Radio Service.
  • No IP-connected network equipment or end point device may be connected to the Megalink network without approval of the Wayne Technical Fanatics. All network equipment (e.g. switches, routers, firewalls, WiFI devices, etc.) must be of a vendor and product prescribed by the Wayne Technical Fanatics.
